Cookie Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit it. They allow the site to function correctly, to remember your choices, and in some cases to collect information about how the site is used.
This policy explains which cookies are used on walkietalkietours.com, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can accept, refuse or change your choice at any time.
2. Who is responsible
- Owner: Carlos Iglesias Hernández (trading name: Walkie Talkie Tours)
- NIF: 54477272R
- Registered address: Av. de la Constitución 6, oficina 57, 29631 Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena, Málaga, Spain
- Email: info@walkietalkietours.com
This policy is issued in accordance with Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
3. Which cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These record the cookie choice you have made, so that we can respect it and so you are not asked again on every page. They are placed once you answer the consent banner. Until you answer it, our website places no cookies at all.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cmplz_banner-status | walkietalkietours.com (own) | Records that you have answered the consent banner, so it is not shown again | 365 days |
cmplz_consented_services | walkietalkietours.com (own) | Records which individual services you have allowed | 365 days |
cmplz_policy_id | walkietalkietours.com (own) | Records which version of this policy you consented to, so we can ask again if it changes materially | 365 days |
cmplz_functional | walkietalkietours.com (own) | Records your choice for functional cookies | 365 days |
cmplz_preferences | walkietalkietours.com (own) | Records your choice for preference cookies | 365 days |
cmplz_statistics | walkietalkietours.com (own) | Records your choice for statistics cookies | 365 days |
cmplz_marketing | walkietalkietours.com (own) | Records your choice for marketing cookies | 365 days |
These are the only cookies our own website places. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of our own.
3.2 Third-party cookies
Some pages include content supplied by other companies. These providers set their own cookies from their own domains, which we cannot read or control. They are not loaded at all unless you accept them.
| Provider | Where it appears | Purpose | More information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calendly LLC (United States) | The booking calendar on our tour pages | Operates the booking calendar, remembers your progress through a booking, and prevents abuse | calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice |
| Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC | The map showing our meeting points | Loads and displays the embedded map and prevents abuse | policies.google.com/technologies/cookies |
If you refuse, the booking calendar and the map are replaced by a notice and do not load. You can still book by writing to info@walkietalkietours.com, by messaging us on WhatsApp, or by opening our booking page directly on Calendly’s own website, where Calendly will ask for its own consent. Our meeting points are also given as written addresses on each tour page.
3.3 Other third-party services
Our floating contact button is provided by Buttonizer (part of Formilla, LLC), whose servers are in the Netherlands. The button is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver it; Buttonizer states that it does not collect or use it. The button does not place anything on your device, either when the page loads or when you click it.
WordPress stores a small technical check in your browser’s session storage (wpEmojiSettingsSupports) to determine whether your browser can display emoji. It contains no information about you and is deleted when you close the tab.
We self-host the fonts used on this website, so no request is made to Google Fonts and Google does not receive your IP address for that purpose.
3.4 What we do not use
Our Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp buttons are ordinary links. Clicking them takes you to those services, where their own policies apply, but our website does not load any code from them and sets no cookie as a result.
We do not use Google Analytics or any other statistics tool. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share any data with advertisers.
4. Your consent
- Until you answer the consent banner, no cookies are placed and the booking calendar and maps are not loaded. Our floating contact button is displayed, but stores nothing on your device.
- You may accept all, deny all, or choose by category through “View preferences”.
- Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting: both buttons appear together, at the same level.
- Refusing has no consequence other than the loss of the specific features described above.
- Continuing to browse, scrolling, or closing the banner does not count as consent.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as a refusal without asking you.
5. How long your choice lasts
Your choice is stored for 365 days, after which the banner will ask you again. We will also ask again if this policy changes materially.
6. Changing or withdrawing your choice
On our website: open the cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. You can change any category or withdraw your consent entirely, at any time, as easily as you gave it.
In your browser: you can also block or delete cookies directly:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Deleting cookies through your browser also deletes the record of your choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.
7. International data transfers
Calendly LLC is established in the United States. Where data is transferred there, the transfer is covered by Calendly’s self-certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Google may also process data outside the European Economic Area in connection with the embedded maps, relying on its certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, as a supplementary safeguard, the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Our floating contact button is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., which is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
8. Your rights
Cookie data may constitute personal data. You have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to info@walkietalkietours.com. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), www.aepd.es, at any time — in particular if you are not satisfied with how we have responded to a request about your data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the cookies we use change or when the law requires it. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects the cookies we place, we will ask for your consent again.
